The Proclamation

I am so excited! My family has done it! Everyone 8 and older has memorized the entire Proclamation on the Family! What a great experience it has been, having lessons about the different paragraphs for family home evening, and then working on it throughout the week, breaking it down even further to more understandable terms. And then seeing the shine of accomplishment in the kids faces! I am so proud of everyone! Especially Jason. He isn't quite the crazy memorizer that the girls and I are, and he has much less free time than we do to devote to learning sessions, but he did it! (It may have helped that if he didn't finish with the rest of us, the girls had permission to make-up his face, put on a wig, and take pictures to put on his Facebook! He reallllllly didn't want that!) It's awesome that even Olivia, at 4, can go along with certain sentences as we do from having heard us so much.
